The Mal Thursday Show is stepping up production on the podcast, thanks in large part to audience response to the "Texas Tyme Machine" series. In addition to playing great Texas music from the past to the present day, the series has featured epic oral history from the musicians who made it all happen: Roy Head, Ezra Charles of Thursday's Children, George Kinney of the Golden Dawn, Jesse Sublett of the Skunks, and Joe "King" Carrasco. In 2013, Mal will be recording more first-hand tales of the Heroes of Texas Rock n' Roll, starting with a group interview with the surviving members of the Wig, the '66-era Austin band best known for Rusty Wier's first recordings, the classic 45s "Crackin' Up" and "Drive It Home."
